Design Story
Brief The aim was to design a new brand of olive oil that addresses everyday use. The scope was to name the new brand and design its logo and packaging. Our audience is mainly women over 44 years old and the challenge was to design an olive oil package that will stand out on the market shelf. Concept/Inspiration Nature spoke to us. She took the papers and pencils from our hands and drew a piece of herself for us. The bark of the olive tree. The symbol of the Mediterranean, our home. Our roots. Our family. And the name of the new brand, Mesolivia. Because the olive groves of the Mediterranean were for us, a reference of our land. Design Nature herself became the inspiration for the designer. The olive bark overcame the condition of the anatomy of a tree and gave birth to the symbol of our culture. Mesolivia awakens our memories. A first kiss, the toys under the golden-green leaves, the people who lived from and for this land. And all the memories were engraved on the olive tree to communicate life and everything that nature has given us. Sustainability & Innovation Since Mesolivia is a brand that fully focuses on nature and the perseverance of our environment, we designed a new form of packaging. This is the first oil packaging made in the form of a pouch. The pouch is fully recyclable and it has an added feature of a no-drip system.
