Design Story

When we think of summer, we often think of long luxurious days on the beach, something Vietnamese youth embrace wholeheartedly. 7UP wanted to capture that familiar feeling in their latest Limited Time Offer (LTO) collection for the summer season in Vietnam. This year, This year, 7UP wanted to help “transport” people to one of Vietnam’s five most iconic beaches and recreate that familiar feeling of relaxation, even if they aren’t able to visit due to the ongoing global pandemic. The design team created five bespoke designs that celebrate national pride and Vietnam’s natural beauty with easy-breezy illustrations and a crisp color palette. Five different famous beaches are depicted on the cans featuring scenes complete with calming waters, mountains, boating and fishing, people cruising on a moped, enjoying inviting architecture or going for a relaxing swing. The name of each iconic destination is overlaid on the scene in bold and playful text for a truly impactful design that helps consumers feel like they’re in beach mode. The Summer Beaches LTO was also designed for further interaction on social media with AR filters, as well as onsite activation. However Vietnamese consumers are celebrating this summer, 7UP is ready to help them make a splash.
