Duanwu - generous rice dumplings - is a dark dish of Umi that is only available in China during the summer. Umi is not the same as black rice, made from the juice of the natural southern candle leaves that are soaked for 24 hours, and has a high nutritional value. Eating it is an ancient custom of combing medicine and food that still continues today. Nowadays, most young people only eat rice dumplings, and the traditional craft of wrapping rice dumplings has been largely forgotten in daily life, but by deconstructing and restoring the way of tying rice dumplings, we have designed the whole rice dumpling box with the element of black rice as the design concept of the inner box, and added innovative ideas to design the whole rice dumpling box, which looks like a large square rice dumpling, and "wrapping rice dumplings". This traditional art of food craftsmanship is reflected in our packaging, which is also a kind of inheritance of the Dragon Boat Festival zongzi culture. As a gift for the Dragon Boat Festival, the Umi Food Box incorporates the traditional folk customs of wrapping zongzi, eating zongzi and inserting mugwort into it, turning the Dragon Boat Festival into a fun event, giving a sense of ritual to the busy people of modern society, and paying tribute to the traditional Dragon Boat Festival culture and striving to pass it on.
