Design Story

In morden city life, coffee becomes a kind of FMCG and necessary product. In China, every person consumes about 15 cups of coffee per year. It means there is huge potential market. The main characters of coffee product are like the following: high repurchase rate, multi scenarios, high cost performance and also culture tranferring attribute. Among different kinds of coffee products, there is an obvious increasing of drip coffee, because of its strong fragrance during brewing process. But in the market, boxes for drip coffee look the same. Therefore, we wish to design a creative and different pacakging for an original coffee brand.

Highlights

Three foldable cartons in a set. Using elements from the coffee beans origins to let consumers realize the coffee beans uniqueness. Also, the box applies fragrance ink to recall strong aroma when making the coffee. Graphic design using illustration as main visual figure, using uncoated cardboard as material to emphasize the connection between product and the nature.

The box applies fragrance ink to recall strong aroma when making the coffee. Graphic design using illustration as main visual figure, using uncoated cardboard as material to emphasize the connection between product and the nature. The illustrate part applies hot stamping by transparent alluminum film, which has a contrast with the matte paper. For animal part, it use higher embossing finishing, to make the whole picture more vivid.

Does the work consider sustainability (environmentally or commercially, or both)? If so, please explain.

use bamboo pulp paper as main material. It is good for forest, since bamboo pulp can replace part of wood pulp. And bamboo grows faster and itself can absorb more CO2. Also its rough experience also implies the coffee orgins from the nature
