Design Story
On January, 2024, Satine launched the first pure plant-based integrated box in China’s ambient-temperature liquid milk industry. Satine has achieved this innovative breakthrough from 0 to 1, marked the brand’s entry into the domestic plant-based gift box sector.
The box is formed using wet pressing technology all-in-one molding, with design elements and product information embossed, and zero ink or printing. Made entirely of 100% plant-based materials, primarily sugarcane bagasse and bamboo fiber, the box degrades completely within six months under natural conditions. Designed in pure white, the box utilizes embossing techniques to recreate the snowscape of Hulunbuir, restoring the beauty of the pure winter grassland to the product packaging, further showcasing the product’s strength of “good grassland nurturing good organic milk.” Additionally, the box includes a variety of plant seed cards from the Hulunbuir grassland, allowing consumers to reuse the outer packaging as a flower pot or storage box.
The finished product combines environmental friendliness, aesthetics, and practicality, meeting consumer demands while enhancing the environmental value of the product, contributing to sustainable development.

1. Environmental Material and Production Emissions Reduction: The box is made entirely of plant-based materials, primarily sugarcane bagasse (a by-product of the sugar industry) and bamboo fiber (a renewable resource). The box is with zero plastic, ink, and printing. The finished product degrades completely within six months under natural conditions, with no release of any toxic substances during the degradation process. Zero wastewater discharge is achieved during production, and any remaining waste is reused for processing other packaging materials. After use, the product can be recycled as waste paper, promoting a circular economy.
2. Enhanced Consumer Experience: The outer box is formed using wet pressing technology all-in-one molding, combining aesthetics with clear information display. The finished product is aesthetically pleasing and lightweight, fully meeting consumers’ demands for portability and attractiveness.
3. Promoting Packaging Recycling and Prolonging Lifespan: In addition to the product, the box includes three randomly included plant seed cards from the Hulunbuir grassland.
