Design Story
When it comes to tea cakes, many people still associate them with being traditional and old-fashioned. How can we break free from this stigma and resonate with the aesthetics of a new generation of tea drinkers, preserving their value and cultural flavor while instantly resonating? This product series leverages the concept of vinyl records to create a "Tea and Music in Harmony" tasting experience. While the texture of vinyl records captures auditory memories, tea cakes, with their Fujian white tea, preserve the memories of Fuding's wild countryside. Both serve as "containers of time and memory." Through the use of square gift boxes and vinyl-shaped inner bags, the product blends the sensory experiences of tea tasting and music appreciation, connecting the gustatory memory of tea with the auditory memory of music to create an immersive, synaesthetic experience.
Highlights
Highlights
Opening the box is like unwrapping a cherished vinyl record, brimming with a strong sense of ritual. The gold-foiled lines imitate the detailing of vinyl storage boxes; the inner bags replicate the shape of vinyl records and are printed with tea product information in a "tracklist" style. The integration of visual elements and conceptual design boasts high aesthetic value, aligning with the pursuit of quality and sophistication.
Added Value
When enjoyed alone, it becomes a quiet "single-track loop" moment of relaxation; when given to relatives and friends, it serves as a carrier of "timeless treasures." It not only conveys recognition of taste but also fosters emotional connections with "like-minded confidants," expanding both the consumption scenarios and emotional significance of the tea product.

The outer packaging of the work is made of thick paper material, with no film on the surface, retaining the original paper texture. Only the logo is hot-stamped with light gold. The creative names of the flavors are named with handwritten calligraphy in gold, creating a simple, exquisite and not overly ostentatious tone.
Does the design solve the problems that are common across the product category? If so, please explain.
Traditional tea cake gift boxes are often traditional in design, lacking in concepts or creativity. This design cleverly utilizes the round and flat shape of vinyl records to match the shape of tea cakes, taking advantage of the collectibility of vinyl records and tea cakes, while giving the experience of "tasting the flavor of time". It kills two birds with one stone, breaks the convention, and gives new tea drinkers who understand tea a new choice of gift giving or collection that can reflect their personal aesthetics and personality.
