Dr. Yong Yang has over 20 years of experience in product research and development and innovation. He has long been engaged in research in areas such as intelligent equipment, industrial Internet, future food and renewable energy.

Yong joined Buhler Group in 2019 and currently serves as the Innovation Head for the Greater China region. He is responsible for drive innovation initiatives, including connection with universities, research institutions, innovation accelerators and incubators, and explore the transformation of industry-university-research achievements in the directions of future food, circular economy, energy conservation and emission reduction, advanced materials and digitalization. At the same time, be responsible for promoting digital transformation and the construction of enterprise innovation mechanisms and culture within the Buhler Group. Served as a director of the Plant-based Branch of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, secretary-general of the Innovative Protein Innovation Consortium (IPIA).
