Professor Alpay Er is the head of Industrial Design Dept. Ozyegin University, Istanbul Turkey. He served as a Board Member in the World Design Organization (WDO) for three terms between 2011 and 2019. He is currently a WDO Regional Advisor. He has served in several international design awards and competitions such as Red Dot, iF, RedStar China, etc, acted as a consultant to various institutions and companies in Istanbul on design management and industrial design.
