Joining in early 2018, Michelle is the Director, Analyst Consumer Foods. Her focus areas are food retail and foodservice and food in relation to health and nutrition.

Michelle is the author of many publications such as ‘China's Growing Appetite for Meat Alternatives’, ‘China's Gradual Recovery from Coronavirus’, ‘The Future of Convenience Stores in China: Implications for Food Companies’ and ‘The Rise of China's Supertech Giants: What Is the Implication for Food Companies?’.

Before joining Rabobank, Michelle was the China Head of Research of Euromonitor International. She was responsible for leading and coordinating research projects in Food & Nutrition, Drinks & Tobacco, Beauty & Fashion, Home & Tech, Service & Payments, Healthcare industries across mainland China.

Michelle holds a Master’s degree in International Business from University of Nottingham and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from East China University of Science and Technology.

Michelle was frequently invited by industry conference and seminars, such as FBIF/FBIC, Nutraceutical and Functional Food, FBIC, Asian Wine & Spirits conference. Michelle has extensive experience with media, with quotes in both International media such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Financial Times and local newspapers like CNB Daily and China Daily.
