Want-Want group was founded in 1962, formerly known as I Lan Food Industrial Co., Ltd. Want-Want brand was founded in 1983. After years of development, We have an extensive nationwide sales and distribution network throughout the Chinese mainland. We also export our products to other markets, including North America, East Asia, South East Asia and Europe. In 2008, Our Company was listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “HK Stock Exchange”) as the holding company of food and beverage business. As at 31 March 2021, we had 422 sales offices, 35 production bases and 81 factories in the Chinese mainland and worked with around 9,000 distributors.

Product concept, highlights and added value
Lactoferrin is a very important active protein in breast milk. A large number of studies have pointed out that lactoferrin has good antibacterial and antiviral activities, which can activate human immune cells and enhance human immunity. In addition, it also has important functions such as regulating human iron absorption and promoting the growth of intestinal probiotics. However, Lactoferrin is a heat sensitive protein, which lost almost all activity simply by pasteurization. Although its content in colostrum is high, there is no active lactoferrin in commercial milk or dairy products after traditional thermal sterilization. Due to the limitations of production process, It is difficult to retain the activity of lactoferrin in the dairy products. Therefore, after more than two years of special research, Want-Want RD team has undergone hundreds of formula adjustment, activity testing, preservation evaluation, dozens of factory production test and repeated verification by external inspection institutions, then found a unique method to retain lactoferrin activity for more than 28 days and finally developed the first active lactoferrin yogurt product in China.This product’s target consumer is for urban office worker, which the addition of lactoferrin in this product is three to four times than that of infant formula in China, allowing consumers to supplement lactoferrin simply just by drinking our delicious yoghurt. The milk materials we extremely selected are from high-quality Northern pasture of China, and New Zealand, and the classic yoghurt cultures are from Denmark, which make it a safe, delicious, and nutritious product.

According to the data of relevant reports, 50% of consumers are more willing to pay for health related products, and 83% of consumers will actively adjust their diet to prevent diseases and increase their health. Want-Want R&D team believes that dairy products must have innovative new directions in the post epidemic era. Chinese consumers will pay more and more attention to health and functional products. Therefore, we hope to develop new products with both functionality and innovation. At the same time, after market research, we also noticed that many well-known overseas dairy enterprises have launched a variety of functional yoghurt, and milk beverage products, including many products added with lactoferrin, while there are relatively few products in the Chinese market. Therefore, the listing of Want-Want lactoferrin yogurt is believed to increase the application of lactoferrin in Chinese market. Lactoferrin can be extended to yogurt, acidic milk beverage, neutral milk beverage, dairy products from the previous only used in infant formula. Want-Want group also hopes to promote the reinnovation of lactoferrin products, increase the diversity of domestic functional products, which let Chinese consumers choose more and more nutritious products.
