Founded in 2016, Ambrosial Food (Qingdao) Co., LTD. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Qingdao Kesong Group Co.,Ltd,, specializing in the research, production, and sales of ready-to-eat frozen desserts. As a large-scale enterprise, our main business encompasses a variety of frozen dessert series, including cheesecake, mousse, mochi, Hato, chocolate pie, Swiss roll, cream puff, daifuku, frozen zongzi, tart, and mini cakes.
We are committed to providing our customers with safe, healthy, and high-quality ready-to-eat frozen desserts. By strictly adhering to food safety and quality standards, and utilizing premium raw materials along with meticulous production processes, we ensure the safety, freshness, and excellent taste of every product.

Product concept, highlights and added value

The Crispy Chocolate Lava Mochi is an original product developed by the Songzhixin team. Upon its launch, it received unanimous praise and love from consumers. The inspiration for the product came from traditional Western cream puffs, known for their soft pastry shells and creamy filling, which is a classic impression for consumers. The initial goal of this product’s development was to combine Western desserts with Chinese pastries to create a product more suitable for local tastes.

For the Chinese pastry element, we chose mochi, made from sun-dried wheat flour, skimmed milk powder, and egg liquid, resulting in a mochi that is rich in wheat aroma, chewy, soft, and leaves a lingering taste. On the outer layer of the mochi, we applied a coating of pure dark chocolate. When frozen, it delivers a crispy chocolate shell, complemented by crunchy nut pieces, adding more layers to the texture.

Additionally, we overcame production challenges by hollowing out the mochi’s internal structure and injecting our specially developed lava filling. This filling is crafted from three main ingredients: imported Spanish cream, cream cheese sauce, and cultured cream. Through meticulous proportioning, we added a specific ratio of cultured cream (also known as sour cream), which not only gives the product a unique lactic acid flavor but also perfectly balances the sweetness of the chocolate and cream. When enjoyed, you will taste a slightly acidic flavor from the lactic fermentation, offering a sweet yet tangy experience that is refreshing and not greasy.

In terms of packaging, after multiple rounds of testing, we abandoned traditional dessert packaging and innovatively used a golden nine-grid outer box. This design is both aesthetically pleasing and maximizes protection against damage during transportation, ensuring the product reaches consumers in its best condition.

Please briefly describe how your product communicates with consumers

The brand philosophy of Songzhixin is to blend innovation with tradition, offering unique yet classic products that aim to deliver a convenient, healthy, and delicious baking lifestyle. Mochi, a traditional pastry originating from China, is loved by domestic consumers. The initial inspiration for this product was to combine traditional mochi with Western desserts.

Key ingredients representing Western desserts are chocolate and cream. Drawing inspiration from the forms of cream puffs and ice cream, we hollowed out the inside of the mochi and filled it with a cream-based filling, then coated the exterior with a layer of chocolate. When consumed frozen, the interior offers a cool ice cream-like texture, while the exterior provides a crunchy chocolate shell, complemented by the chewiness of the mochi. The layered textures create a lingering taste experience.

When consumed after thawing, the filling inside presents a creamy, lava-like texture, while the chocolate layer becomes smooth and silky. Combined with the chewy texture of the mochi, the interplay of the creamy, silky, and chewy sensations ensnares the palate with each bite.
