Design Story
Most of the bean paste currently on the market is packaged in plastic jars, designed in the traditional large red colour with a uniform shelf display. Canned bean paste requires a spoon to scoop it up. The spoon has to be washed after use, which is a hassle. Especially when there is little product left, it is very inconvenient and easy to get your hands dirty. We have improved the packaging by using squeeze bags, which are convenient and hygienic to use as you go. The packaging uses three main colours and different illustrations of sauce-making scenes to differentiate the flavour types. The name of the product is handwritten in calligraphy to reflect traditional craftsmanship. The distinctive colour scheme is more innovative than the large red colour of similar products and provides good shelf presence.
