Design Story
Mid-Autumn Festival is a living cultural heritage of traditional Chinese festival. Our team members design streamer collection to satisfy the tradition of Mid-Autumn's high end gift market by pinning consumers' emotions of homesickness, the love of their relatives, the best wish to harvest and happiness. We combine innovative tastes with traditional ingredients to interpret the "taste of time" and solve the market fault phenomenon between traditional recipes and creative flavors. Presented on the gift box with inspired designing language and exquisite craftsmanship techniques, the main visual draws the form of "clock, roulette, and universe". Connecting three elements with circular geometric radial designed techniques to visualize the theme of "taste of time". The structure of the gift box refers to the form of the traditional Chinese imperial court royal food box, and extracts the structure of the octagonal box, which means four flat and eight stable, stable and auspicious holiday wishes. The visual color of "orange" is a blend of traditional Chinese colors "fei" and "yan", which means the vision of a beautiful life that is bright and gorgeous, rich and prosperous.

The main body of the work is two parts of environmental protection outer box and recycling blister lining, the outer box mounting paper adopts FSC environmental protection paper, GB environmental protection printing ink and hot stamping process, the outer box gray board adopts environmentally friendly recycled waste paper, and the blister lining adopts PCR material, which is assembled with water-soluble environmentally friendly white glue. The energy conservation and environmental protection of packaging materials are in line with China's sustainable development strategy, and at the same time meet the sense of value of high-end gifts.
Does the design solve the problems that are common across the product category?
Most of the gift food packaging is facing the pursuit of a sense of high quality, resulting in excessive porosity and excessive waste of packaging resources. The structure of the gift box adopts the form of a traditional Chinese royal court food box, with an octagonal box with a solid structure, built-in six mooncakes, and a double-layer triangular structure that is firmly arranged. Maximize space utilization, porosity meets food packaging industry standards, and at the same time facilitates easy access to products during use.

In terms of structural design, the work adopts leather hand-held straps, and connects the lid and floor cover of the gift box with a metal snap button, which enhances the sense of form of the consumer's court royal food box in the opening of the box experience, and at the same time saves energy saving and environmental protection of the packaging materials that omit the gift bag.
