Background: Conventional beef packaging often poses several challenges when it comes to heating. The process typically involves thawing in advance, opening the packaging, and cleaning the container, which is not only time-intensive and laborious but can also affect the texture and nutritional content of the food. Additionally, microwaving can result in burst packaging or leakage of juices, causing inconvenience to consumers.
Concept: Amcor is dedicated to offering consumers more convenient and secure food packaging solutions. Our innovative microwave auto-venting pouch design allows for direct heating in the microwave without the need for extensive preparation. This approach not only improves the user experience but also aligns with consumers' expectations for food safety and quality.

High-temperature retort adhesive is applied with an increased amount and subjected to more rigorous curing conditions, ensuring that the bag's composite strength meets the requirements for high-temperature sterilization.
A special insert structure design creates a stable exhaust channel for the bag.

However, these designs often fall short because the strength of the exhaust port is not significantly different from that of the other seal edges, leading to a higher risk of bag rupture during microwaving.
Amcor has introduced an additional feature with a special insert design, combined with a uniquely shaped exhaust port. This innovation creates a clear distinction in strength between the exhaust port and other sealing edges, resulting in a more stable exhaust channel. This significantly reduces the risk of bursting from other areas.

What functional designs of the work have enhanced the user experience?

Automatic Venting: No need to open the bag; simply microwave to heat. This process locks in moisture and preserves the flavor.
Ambient Storage: The high-barrier material structure, combined with high-temperature retort sterilization, allows products to be stored at room temperature without refrigeration. They can even be consumed directly from the bag without heating, offering a unique flavor experience.

Traditionally, beef products have been sold online primarily in the form of beef jerky or beef sauce. Marinated beef, which has a higher value but a shorter shelf life, was mostly sold through immediate retail or cold chain transportation
The advent of high-barrier microwave venting bags has effectively addressed these issues. The high-barrier properties, combined with high-temperature sterilization and nitrogen flushing, can provide a sterile environment for marinated beef even at room temperature, thereby extending its shelf life
Additionally, the microwave venting feature allows consumers to enjoy the beef quickly and conveniently without the need for further processing after receiving the product
These advantages offer new possibilities for the sale of marinated beef, making it more accessible and appealing to a wider consumer base.

However, the advent of high-barrier materials allows for ambient storage, greatly reducing the energy consumption during transportation and storage, aligning with environmental conservation principles
