Product concept, highlights and added value

Yam is rich in various nutrients and active ingredients and has extremely high edible and medicinal values. However, fresh yam is difficult to store and transport. Making yam into yam milk or yam powder facilitates its comprehensive utilization, but this process faces multiple challenges such as high yam viscosity, difficulty in production, limited application scope, and unpleasant taste. Zymebase overcame these challenges by using its powerful biotechnology to develop an enzymatic hydrolysis solution that reduced the yam viscosity and eliminated the undesirable taste and bitterness of yam. Additionally, Zymebase upgraded and optimized a series of processes including yam grinding, gelatinization, enzymatic hydrolysis, sterilization, and spray drying, successfully turning fresh yams into yam powder with good solubility and easy reconstitution.
The successful development of yam powder marks a new breakthrough in yam applications. To further improve the flavor and enrich the taste, Zymebase innovatively introduced the "Yam + Oat" plant milk combination after multiple testing and formulations. Throughout the enzymatic hydrolysis and production process, it preserves the nutrients of yams and oats to a large extent, significantly improving sensory quality and achieving a dual enjoyment of "health" and "flavor". This technology can also develop sugar-free and low-sugar yam powder, further expanding the product line, thereby creating a "sugar-free label" yam-oat milk and leading a new trend in the plant-based beverage market.

Yam is a common ingredient used in food therapy and health supplements, but its market applications are currently limited. Zymebase has developed a "drinkable yam" plant-based milk using self-developed patented technology. The product uses authentic fresh Tiegun yam from Jiaozuo, Henan Province, and globally selected oats as raw materials. Each 200ml bottle of Yam Oat Milk contains approximately 25% yam juice, with the yam juice made from reconstituted yam pulp (yam content ≥ 55% on a dry basis, yam content ≥ 6%). The product is free of added sugar and trans fats throughout the entire process, achieving the goal of "drinkable yam" plant-based milk and offering an innovative solution. Zymebase has created an innovative combination of "yam + oats" in this plant-based milk, strictly controlling the flavor. After multiple experiments and evaluations, the product is formulated in a ratio of 6:4, resulting in a flavor profile characterized by "rich aroma, smooth texture, and no throat irritation." It also retains the nutritional components and "clean label" of the raw materials to the greatest extent possible, fulfilling both "health" and "indulgence" demands. Yam Oat Milk is convenient to carry and ready to drink, meeting consumers' daily needs and providing enjoyment in various settings.
