Product concept, highlights and added value
Located in the 44th parallel north latitude, the golden grape growing belt, the northern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang, together with Bordeaux in France and California in the United States, are known as the "three paradise-level grape producing regions in the world". The gravelly soil has excellent drainage, with an average temperature difference of over 20°C between day and night, and more than 2,800 hours of sunshine throughout the year. It is also irrigated by snow melt water from the Tianshan Mountains at an altitude of 4,000 meters.
In 1996, Shadi Winery introduced three wine grapes including Chasselas from France and entrusted the 152nd Division of Xinjiang Construction Corps to plant them with high standards. Today, most of the vineyards in Shadi are old vines that have been growing for nearly 30 years, which can withstand extreme weather changes worldwide and achieve stable production. Every year, more than 70 million bottles of wine are produced from Shadi vineyards in the market.
Unlike other domestic production areas, the unique terroir characteristics of the northern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains make it possible to produce high-alcohol brandies here, making it one of the few high-quality production areas in the world where high-alcohol brandy can be brewed.
Xinjiang brandy aged for 15 years in Populus euphratica forest. The distilled liquor from the same batch in 2007 was aged in oak barrels from the United States and France in the wine cellar of the northern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang for a full 15 years. The aging time is higher than the X.X.O. standard for French cognac, without adding caramel color or liquid sugar. The bottle is filled at 48 degrees, which is higher than the alcohol content of ordinary brandy by 8 degrees, achieving a more complex and rich flavor expression and a fuller and more robust body presentation.
