Christophe F. Maire is the Founder and Managing Partner of the Early Stage VC Atlantic Labs and FoodLabs, based in Berlin.

With FoodLabs, Christophe focuses on investments in food, health, and climate, backing the most ambitious, purpose-driven entrepreneurs, committed to planetary and human health. FoodLabs has been an early investor in some of the most seminal, fastest-growing European startups including Infinite Roots, Formo, Meatable, and Klim.

With Atlantic Labs, Christophe invests in early stage tech companies in Digital Health, Future of Work, Applied Machine Learning, Fintech, Mobility, FoodTech, AgTech and ClimateTech. He has backed companies that are global category leaders today, including SoundCloud, GetYourGuide, Choco, Clue, Omio & Medwing.

Christophe started out as an entrepreneur in the early 2000s, founding Gate5 and Plazes.com, which were both acquired by Nokia, and developed into mapping platform here.com which now belongs to BMW, Audi, Bosch and Intel. Over the past 15 years, Christophe has become a renowned investor in the German venture ecosystem. Having been named best „European Seed Investor'' by Techcrunch for 2 consecutive years, his early investments include Brands4Friends (eBay), Readmill (Dropbox), and StudiVZ.
