He and the team have developed a unique, automated system for collecting birch sap directly from trees into bottles without additives or preservatives, ensuring long shelf-life and assured quality,  production process enabling industrial scale.

Under Korhonen's leadership, Nordic Koivu has expanded its product range to serve both industrial and consumer segments, supplying birch sap for use in food, beverages, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
