Dr. Siow Ying TAN is the Founder and Managing Director of Vista Innovate Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based Food & Beverage technology and strategy consulting firm. She brings nearly two decades of international expertise in food technology, R&D strategy, and product commercialization across the USA and Asia Pacific. A recognized leader in Open Innovation, she excels at bridging the gap between global academics, technology providers, and corporate investors.

During her tenure at PepsiCo, Dr. Tan held pivotal intrapreneurial and leadership roles. As the APAC External Innovation Leader, she spearheaded strategic partnerships to unlock priority technology platforms. Previously, in New York, she served as a subject matter expert in functional proteins and natural sweeteners, partnering with marketing teams to enable product launches for iconic brands including Gatorade, Pepsi, Lipton, and Starbucks Frappuccino. Notably, Dr. Tan led global cross-functional teams to develop clinically substantiated solutions for the functional health segment, securing $2.4 million in internal venture investment.

Dr. Tan has a diverse background and international exposure. She is a Malaysia-borne Chinese and received her early education in Singapore. She holds a Ph.D. in Food Science from Cornell University, an M.S. and B.S. from Louisiana State University, and a Professional Diploma in Food Safety & Quality from University College Dublin. Her blended experience across Western and Eastern food, culture, and tradition provides unique insights into local relevancy and trends.
