Weiwen Han is a Global Senior Partner at Bain & Company and serves as the Chairman of the Retail and Restaurant practices in Asia-Pacific, based in Shanghai.

With over 25 years of profound experience in management consulting, Mr. Han is not only an expert in the Retail and Private Equity sectors but also possesses extensive cross-industry, cross-domain, and cross-cultural project experience. He specializes in strategic planning, operational improvement, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational optimization.

He joined Bain & Company in 2002 and served as the Managing Partner of Bain Greater China from 2016 to 2024. During his tenure, he led Bain Greater China to achieve consistent double-digit growth year over year, while maintaining world-leading Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and employee satisfaction levels within the firm globally. Under his leadership, Bain Greater China established a diverse client base, significantly increasing the proportion of long-term and large-scale clients across sectors including consumer goods, retail, private equity, high-tech, automotive, energy and chemicals, financial services, and healthcare.

In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Han is dedicated to management research. He is the guest Chinese author of the Bain classic management bestseller The Founder’s Mentality and a guest columnist for Forbes China. He is frequently invited to speak at major domestic and international conferences and industry forums, including the International Business Leaders’ Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai (IBLAC), the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions (Summer Davos), the Fortune Global Forum, the Harvard China Forum, and the Lujiazui Forum. Mr. Han served as a specially appointed expert for the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government Decision-Making Consultation (from March 2021 to December 2023) and was recognized as “Leading Figure of Jing'an District, Shanghai” in 2023.

Mr. Han holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from the School of Management at Fudan University.
